1st Dance Crash Course (4 hours):  This is truly the “honey we forgot to take dance lessons” package.  Perfect for couples with time, budgetary or other constraints, the 1st Dance Crash Course provides you with a simple but elegant first dance.

What it is:  We take you, 4 hours, 1 song, a simpler dance option such as Rumba or Foxtrot, and a few moves, and put a lot of attention towards making you look natural and connected.  The goal is to make you look like a nice couple who happens to know how to do a little dancing, the way folks who grew up doing it know how to. 

What it’s not:  It’s not “Dancing with the Stars”.  It’s not a “Surprise First Dance”, It’s not a lot of high  drama.  It’s not enough to let you dance through your whole reception, only the first dance.  But it will make you look good in a short period of time for a very small investment.

Wedding Dance Prep Course (10 hours):  For those who are looking for a more robust first dance, or to be able to dance throughout their reception, the Wedding Dance Prep Course is for you.  Our goal, as always, is to make dancing look natural, and incidental to the moment, rather than “put on”, but there’s some simple truth to the phrase “the more you put in, the more you will get out.”

What it is:  First and foremost, it is about your first dance.  Depending upon how simple or complex you wish it to be, and how quickly you progress, we can also spend time exposing you to other dances to allow you to dance throughout your reception.  It will make you look like more skillful, confident dancers.

What it’s not:  It’s still not “Dancing with the Stars”, but it’s a bit closer to it.

Wedding Party Prep Course (8 hours group + 4 hours private lessons):  This course is designed to offer the bride and groom and up to 6 additional friends or family members, a private group class of your own, to prepare everyone to dance at the wedding.  It also includes 4 private lessons for the bride and groom. 

What it is:  A way to involve your wedding party in your first dance, or just a great way to spend time together while learning to dance for your special day. 

What it’s not:  It’s NOT “Rock the Reception”.

Shock the Reception:  Thrill your parents, impress your friends and family, and create a first dance and wedding reception memory that will last a lifetime.  It can be just the two of you, or your whole wedding party.  Learn for an amazing first dance, or for the whole reception.

What it is: It can be whatever you want.  A chance to give your guests a first dance routine they will never forget, or just an opportunity to learn to dance really well.  Cover multiple dances, or focus on just one.  Do it by yourselves or choreograph a routine with your wedding party.  Learn more traditional social dances such as Waltz, Foxtrot, and Rumba.  Or bring down the house with some cool Swing, hot Latin or sexy Tango.  You are limited only by what we have to offer and we can offer a lot.  Train to traditional or non-traditional music.

What it’s not:  While we do get quite innovative and will work with a variety of music, our area of expertise is still Ballroom (social couples dancing).  We don’t incorporate hip-hop or other modern, free-style forms of dance into the mix.  We also feel that, at the end of the day, a dance with more traditional overtones will bring about a more desirable  wedding memory.

Please Note:  Pricing is based upon our hourly rates for private lesson, and custom group pricing, for a 20 hour block of time (minimum), less a 20% discount.  Wedding party pricing assumes 8 participants and can be adjusted based upon the number of actual participants.
